SPAM:
As you may know, President Bush recently signed into law the Can Spam Act of 2003 (Public Law No. 108-187). This new law, which took effect on January 1, 2004, is intended to cut down on the rising level of unsolicited email -- and it imposes certain requirements for the delivery of commercial email and institutes certain penalties for failing to comply with such requirements.

Catalyst Organizing does not fully support the passing of a national standard that outlaws and prohibits spam, because we believe that it will not be truly effective, but rather, it could infringe upon legitimate businesses, and will not apply to the myriad of spam that is sent from overseas. However, in light of this new legislation, we want to clarify our privacy policy to make sure that there is no misunderstanding of how we use your information:

1. You have the option to sign up for the free monthly ezine, Simplicity News, which offers free organizing and simplifying tips. You will be required to double opt-in, confirming that you indeed request the subscription.

2. If you purchase a product through our site, you may also have the opportunity to sign up for the ezine.

3. We will never give out your contact information (e-mail, phone, address, etc.) to anyone without your permission.

4.The only emails you will receive from us will be the monthly ezine you have subscribed to and the occasional announcement, update of new features or other new offerings at our site, CatalystOrganizing.com.

5. If at any time, you wish to UNsubscribe from one or all of these notifications, simply follow the instructions at the bottom of the email for unsubscribing and your email will be removed from the list.
